So I started off the day by driving all the way to the theater where we had try outs for Company. I didn’t think I would make it, but I did.
First practice is on Tuesday. Then, our rec team had our first game. We won 13-10, and I scored.
I ended the day with an AMAZING Epiphany Concert. Sure it ended at 10:30, but it was worth it.

Yesterday was fun
Wassup?
Wassup, y’all? Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but I’ve been SOOOOOO busy! The final performance of A Thousand Cranes was last night. It was so exciting, yet so sad. Joshua had to wear his hair in a ponytail
and Colin’s hair looked like Christopher Robin – it was so adorable lol… Shreyas has been out sick all week, and Katherine missed last night and Friday night because she has SWINE FLU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is horrible!!!!!!!!!
Their wish is engraved on the base of the statue:
This is our cry.
This is our prayer.
Peace in the world.
…One thousand…
Look, Grandmother! You were right!
In school… we finished Y1K and it was AMAZING! Now in Chorus it seems more like dance because we’re learning all the choreography. I almost have the moves for Locomotion down!
We get to wear poodle skirts for the concert! Woot! ^-^ Let’s see… no other fun stuff going on in school so yeah…
Have I talked about choir at all? I don’t think so… Well basically I’m in the “youth choir” at my church. We sing at the 12:15 Masses. Who’s in it? A lot of people from Fiddler… Mike, Catherine, Lizzie, Emily, Jessica G., Jessica K., two other girls who weren’t in Fiddler named Kelly and Meg, and OMG CONOR!!!!!!!! Conor was like one of my 2 BFF’s last year in Children’s Choir so I’m really psyched!
But he’s not gonna start showing up for a few weeks cuz he’s in a play. I have no idea what play though lol
Dance is still fun… In Acting, Hannah and I are doing a scene called Above It All. It’s this scene about two girls, Kali (Hannah) and Jenna (me), who are on a Ferris Wheel. Jenna’s terrified of the Ferris Wheel, so at first it’s all about Kali calming her down. Then it goes to this thing about Kali’s parents being divorced and her dad calling even though the lawyers said he’s not allowed to. To be honest it’s really confusing me. In Live On Stage we’re doing “Nine To Five” as the opening and “Don’t Stop Believing” ^-^ as the finale. Our class is doing “She’s In Love” from The Little Mermaid and “Nicest Kids In Town” from Hairspray ^-^.
Rock Band is really fun too
Depali (please please please tell me I spelled her name right…) and I are the singers, and Kevin (back from the summer
) is the bass player, and Nick and Mike (different Mike lol) are the guitarists. The teacher is Niko. So far we’re doing “Hotel California” and some other song I forgot the name of.
Hotel Adventure – Friday, July 10, 2009
We (Eric, Mom, Tommy, and I) woke up to a 2 inch spider crawling up our wall. Fun! … After dealing with IT, we packed up out stuff. For breakfast, I had a bagel, 2 biscuits, 4 waffle strips, milk, and hot chocolate. Eric spilled milk all over my shirt, my gym shorts, and this notebook. Haley and Mac came to breakfast shortly after we did, and Kelly came in as Haley & Mac left. Elizabeth, Kylie, and Hannah came in @ 9:28a.m. 4 minutes l8r, Melanie & Jim Possible entered. Less than 30 sec. l8r, Makenna & Alyssa came in. Sometime after Makenna & Alyssa came in, Mac came back. For at least an hour, the girls sat together while I sat and talked with my parents, Coach Jane, and Jim Possible. At around 10 or 11 we checked out of the hotel. We came back to our house at 2 o’clock-ish and now I’m on my computer typing all this up.
Hotel Adventure – Thursday, July 9, 2009
Tommy and I were awake long before anyone else, but about half an hour l8r, we were all up. When we came to the “Breakfast Area” (that’s actually what it’s called – there’s a plaque on the door that says “Breakfast Area”), we were the first West Raleigh people there. My breakfast consisted of 2 chocolate muffins, 2 biscuits, milk, hot chocolate, bacon, and a bagel. Madison was the next WR person to come down, then (in order) Kelly, Haley, Makenna & Alyssa, Mac (Mackenzie in case u haven’t figured that out yet), Elizabeth, and Shelby. The final score was 7-3; Chatham County won. We shipped over to Dairy Queen, then came back to the hotel and Mac, Melanie, Haley, Russel (Haley’s older brother), Kelly, Elizabeth, Hannah (Elizabeth’s cousin), Tommy, Kylie, Eric, and I went to the pool for around an hour or so, then went to a restaurant for dinner. At the restaurant, hush puppy fighting ensued; Hannah and I scared Haley, Mac, and Elizabeth by hiding Eric in the girls bathroom (what? – he’s only four years old – he’s allowed in there still); relationships began (lol Melanie + Tommy) (okay fine just kidding Melanie + Eric); Melanie & Jim Possible did the Infantry/Infant Tree skit; I was dared by Haley and Mac to go outside and around the restauran with a headband tied to my leg; and the waitresses dared to trust Tommy with a knife. We finally headed back to the hotel, and eventually fell asleep a little after 11 p.m. with Mom and I in the bed and Tommy & Eric on the couch.

The final score was 13-6; Pitt County won, but we put up a good fight. Mother, Tommy, Eric, and I retired to our room at around 10:36p.m. (both my mom and I had a watch on all weekend) Lights went out at 11:47, but we didn’t actually fall asleep until around midnight. The long break between coming back to the hotel & lights out was due to visits from our Dad, Kelly, Coach Jane, Elizabeth, Melanie, Makenna, and Alyssa (Makenna’s step-sister). When we finally fell asleep, Mother & Tommy were in the bed, and Eric & I were on the couch.
