Okay so Kai forced me to post a couple times on OffTopic, I decided to post on here.
I GOT A PHONE FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!
teen choir sang on Christmas Eve… 5pm Mass, but we started singing at 4:30 so we had to be there at like 4… Lizzie, Benita, and Brad had solos. They were amazing.
Basketball’s same as ever…
LOS/Acting/Dance are done for now but I’m trying out for LOS Co. in January (same day as Epiphany Concert for choir!!!!! and day after Homecoming!!!!!). I was going to try out for Dance Co., but practices are the same night & time as choir, and I’m not allowed to quit choir.
Okay so I have this really long list of quotes that I’ve been keeping up with since 6th grade. I want people to take this poll and the top ten quotes will go on another post. Vote for your favorite (duh):
Okay so Kai and I are partners for the Y1K project in History. Basically Y1K is the year 1000 (duh) and you and your partner have to set up a stall in a re-enactment of a Y1K marketplace. You have to research what your culture (For us it’s Japan – the other cultures are the Vikings, Holy Roman Empire, Ghana, Khmer, China, Islamic World, England, Russia, India, Spain, and the Byzantine Empire.) and find different NAILD* arguments about your culture in Y1K. When you’re done with all of your research, you have to write an editorial asking permission to set up your stall (obviously you get your stall set up whether it’s good or not…). The editorial includes all the information you researched. Now, it’s time to start working on your stall. You and your partner have to choose your identities (We’re probably going to be artisans, but we’re not sure…). The available choices are: merchants, cartographers, artisans, transportation “engineers”, historians/scribes, and physicians. Now you have to choose what you’re going to sell and if you’re going to have a mini-exhibit or something. Next, you design a sticker/stamp for passports. All visiters to the “marketplace” will have a fake passport (it’s for educational purposes only… the passports are useless in the real world). They will be encouraged to visit stalls from every culture, and when they do visit a stall that stall’s stamp/sticker will go on their passport. We also have to name our stall and make business cards.
We haven’t gotten to the point where we decide what to sell (we are still researching…), but we have some ideas…
Are any of these any good?:
Mini-Manga about Y1K
Kumihimos
Japanese CD (vocaloids)
Map of Japan in Y1K
Chart of population
*NAILD is an acronym used to analyze different cultures during Y1K and the “Dark Ages”.
We’ve been here since 3:30. Should we leave? I mean, I’m trying to stay here as late as possible that way I can have a take-out dinner like McDonald’s or Wendy’s or Chick-fil-A or something good like that, but it is kind of getting boring with just the two 0f us idk
So I just auditioned for the play 1,000 Cranes at my school. We find out who got called back on Tuesday, and then the actual callbacks are on Wednesday. The final cast list gets posted on Friday. My friends Kat and Andrew auditioned with me so yay. lol… Kai’s here too but she’s auditioning tomorrow because she just got the monologues.
